Personality:Matthias looks like he’d be a giant asshole, given his resting scowl that he often defaults to. But in reality Matthias is a withdrawn and shy person, often choosing to stay on the sidelines, away from everyone else. When around those he enjoys spending time with, his personality opens up and he comes off as a caring, if not grumpy person. He’s also loyal and would do atrocious things to protect his friends and family.

Matthias is the end result of someone getting trapped in the Void for several years. While everyone on Eorzea lived their lives, Matthias was fighting for his life on a daily basis. He was granted freedom when a pair of unwitting Garleans ripped open a portal to the Void, allowing him to finally escape the hell that is the Void.With his newfound sense of freedom, Matthias spends most of his free time isolated from the rest of the world. To say he is withdrawn would be an understatement. Given his nature, and what he is, Matthias does his best to avoid getting into trouble with the mortal races of Eorzea. He would rather flee a fight than kill an innocent, even if they are out to kill him. While he may come off as a monster from the depths of hell, Matthias is anything but.Recently, Matthias has found himself spending time with his new family. A dear friend of his adopted him into her family, giving him what others will not: kindness. Matthias spends a lot of his time with his adopted sister, following her around like a lost puppy when they are together.
